Botulinum Toxin (Botox or Dysport) Therapy
Ageing is associated with the development of wrinkles and furrows on the face.
Botox therapy relaxes frown muscles, and is used to treat facial lines such as the deep crease found between the eyebrows. Other areas that may be treated include, the "crows feet" wrinkles, mouth and necklines.
Non-surgical brow lifts may be achieved using Botox in some patients.
Dr Lowe was the first scientific investigator to conduct controlled scientific placebo Botox studies in the USA and UK for upper facial lines. He continues to be at the forefront of Botox research.
Botox is often used to reduce frown lines before or in combination with laser resurfacing.
This treatment can transform the lives of people suffering from this problem.
Dr Nick Lowe and Dr Philippa Lowe are the first investigators to scientifically compare Botox with Dysport for facial lines. Their research will help ensure the correct dose and placement for treating facial lines.

Before and after Botox treatment
Botox for excessive sweating
More recently Botox has been used to reduce excessive sweating of the palms and under arms. Our UK and USA clinics were the lead centres for international studies proving the benefits of Botox for excessive sweating and Dr Lowe authored the first scientific paper in Europe on Botox and hyperhidrosis.
